Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What is the difference between essential oils and fragrance oils?
Essential oils are pure plant oils that are obtained directly from a plant's leaves, root or flowers through steam distillation or some form of extraction. Fragrance oils are man-made oils formulated in a lab by blending natural and synthetic ingredients to obtain an aroma otherwise unavailable.

Question: Do you plan on adding fragrance oils in your skin and hair care products?
When it comes to nurturing, I prefer using essential oils because along with their aroma, they have beneficial properties to the hair as well as the skin. We offer products which also contain fragrance oils they are: our Vanilla Bean, Honey Almond bath bars, and Vanilla Bean, Honey Almond and Mango Bliss shower gels, body oils, ect...

Question: Do your products contain Alcohol?
No. All of our products are alcohol free.

Question: Do your products contain beeswax?
The only product that we sell that contains beeswax is our styling balm. The wax in the styling balm is to give an extra hold to the hair when slicked down or spiked, ect... without making it hard. Everything else is wax free.

Question: Will beeswax hurt my hair?
Beeswax will leave a waxy built up on the hair overtime. Our styling balm however will not leave a waxy build up on your hair because it is full of moisturizing ingredients blended with the beeswax. Many make-up artist use it on photo shoots to create different looks.

Question: Can I leave the Shea Butter Regenerating Hair Treatment Oil in my hair. Your label says to rinse it out?
Yes. Our Shea Butter Regenerating Hair Treatment oil can be leaved in if used as a hairdressing oil on locs and braids. Many of our customers who wear locs and braids wear it as such. Not recommended as a hairdressing oil on permed hair as it will weight it down.
